The basics

• Legal age: 19+
• Where to buy: Public BC Cannabis Stores, licensed private shops, or online via the official BC Cannabis Stores site.
• Possession: Up to 30 g in public.
• Home growing: Up to 4 plants per residence, but they must not be visible from a public place.

Where you can consume

Broadly allowed where tobacco smoking is permitted, plus many public spaces, but banned at places like beaches, parks frequented by children, and near building entrances. Local governments can restrict further.
